Periodic Table Elements Word-Search Puzzle for Fun In Chemistry

$3.00

Description

All of your students know that sodium is a chemical element. But do they know that Flerovium (Fl) is the newly adopted IUPAC name for the chemical element number 114, which was previously named Ununquadium (Uuq)? In this elements word-search puzzle, challenge your students to find all 60 elements hidden in the puzzle. The puzzle contains a good mix of the more familiar and not-so-familiar elements.

It’s a great way for your students to learn about elements they have not heard much about, and possibly take interest in looking up more information about those elements..

This elements word-search puzzle will be a perfect work for your students on the day you are not in school. It’s also a great busy work to keep them quiet on a free period.

Make it a fun game or competition!!

Option 1:

Ask students to find as many of the listed elements as they can in the time period that you set. When time is up, ask students to add up all their points to see who got the most.

Option 2:

Conceal the list of the elements given. Ask students to find as many chemical elements as they can in the amount of time that you set. When they find an element, they should write the element’s name (or symbol) down in the space below the puzzle. When time is up, read the given elements (from the list) in each point category, and ask students to note the appropriate point next to each element they wrote down.

They can add up all their points to see who got the most.
